Lyon County is in the west central part of Minnesota. At the 2010 census, the population was 25,857 and the county seat is Marshall. The county was established in 1869 and the county was named for Nathaniel Lyon an Army officer who served in the Dakotas before he was killed in the Civil War in 1861.

Visitation Schedule, Mail, Calls and Funds

Visitation days are:

Sunday through Saturday from 8:00 am to 11: 00 am and 1:00 pm to 4:00 pm. There is no visitation on Monday.

You are not allowed to eat or drinking in the jail visiting rooms, no use of cell phones, passing of materials to the inmate is prohibited, visitors need to provide identification, visitor need to dress appropriately. If staff deems necessary, a visitor can be removed from the jail.

Inmate money deposits may be dropped for an inmate at any time during the day or night. Come to the man entrance of the Lyon County Law Enforcement Center.
