Chippewa County, Minnesota Jail Information

The jail is maintained by the Sheriff’s Office. It is a medium security, adult level jail. Work release and time off for good behavior is honored at the Chippewa County Jail. The jail usually houses 2-3 inmates per cell and is often overcrowded.

Visitation Schedule, Mail, Calls and Funds

Visiting at the jail are as follows:

Tuesday and Fridays
1:30 pm to 3:30 pm and from 7:00 pm to 9:00 pm.

No other times are scheduled.

Money ca be sent to an inmate by addressing a money order to the jail or through a transfer company. Contact the sheriff’s office at 320-269-2121 to find out the proper way to add to an inmate’s jail account.

Mail can be sent via the US Postal system. Do be way tht mail may be opened an inspected. Ou cannot send anything to an inmate that may be describe as a weapons, bomb, or tools for escape.
