Traverse County Minnesota Sheriff Information
The sheriff’s office patrols 586 square miles of which 12 square miles is water. The office protects, as of 2017 estimates, 3,319 citizens. The sheriff’s office is staffed with five full-time deputies and a chief administrative deputy. The sheriff’s office is committed to a professional level of law enforcement which will ensure the safety of all citizens, the prevention and investigation of criminal activity, and a cooperative working relationship with other departments and services.

Traverse County, Minnesota Jail Information
The Traverse County Law Enforcement Center/Jail opened in July of 207. The jail houses up to eleven inmates and is manned by 911 dispatch center staffed by the Jail Administrator and six full time and four part time communication/correction officers. The jail staffed 24 hours a day for 365 days.

To visit an inmate, you must first give the jail administrator your name and photo ID.
