Stevens County Minnesota Sheriff Information

The Sheriff’s Office in Stevens County patrols a total area of 575 square miles of which 12 square miles is water. The office protects approximately, as of 2017, 9.637 citizens. It is the duty of the Sheriff’s Office to provide a safe and crime-free atmosphere in which to work, educate our children and raise a family. There are 16 administrative staff members including the dispatch division, deputies and office staff.

The county jail is a medium adult detention center operated by the Stevens County Sheriff’s Office. It holds inmate waiting for trial or sentencing. The Jail accepts inmates from surrounding towns and the Morris Police Department.
