The St Croix River high water 'No Wake' has ended. The Saint Croix River has receded below 683.0 and is predicted to continue to fall. The various permanent slow no-wake zones remain in effect even if the buoys or signs have been taken out for the season or lost to flooding.

The river is still considered very high for paddling, especially upstream of Stillwater. Paddling should not be attempted until the river recedes further. See river level information map to find alternate river paddling locations. http://www.dnr.state.mn.us/river_levels/index.html

Boaters should remember that they remain responsible for damage from their wake. Shoreline soils are saturated and are more subject to erosion. Docks may have been affected by high water and be unstable. There may be more debris in the water or debris left behind in areas that were clear in the past. Travel at a safe speed, minimize your wake and keep a constant look out.

Please wear your life jacket! Debris in the water can cause a boat to capsize. A life jacket will help you survive the unexpected.

The water is getting cold. Please dress for the water temperature - not the air temperature.
