Stearns County is in the central of Minnesota. At the 2010 census the population was 150,642 and the county seat is Saint Could. The county was found in 1855 and named after Charles Thomas Stearns. The county’s name came from a clerical error and was supposed to be named Sevens County. The name however still stands.
Check out Lake Wobegon Trail that was once an abandoned railroad corridor. The trail is 65 miles long and continues to Fergus Falls.
