We now anticipate slightly higher snowfall amounts across much of central MN and northwest WI.

Therefore, headline changes were made to transition the Wind Advisory to a Winter Weather Advisory for much of MN (including the Twin Cities Metro Area) and a portion of WI to capture the potential for a period of notably reduced visibility and impacts to travel.

Please see the attached images for the updated Advisories and forecast snowfall amounts.

No changes were made to the Winter Storm Warning area.

Hazards & Impacts:
• Falling snow with very strong winds could lead to difficult travel conditions for a period of time Monday afternoon and night, especially across western MN.

• Even though much of the area will see less than 3" of snow, a band of moderate to heavy snow will cause poor travel conditions for a brief period of time tonight.

Location - Confidence High
• Highly confident in widespread strong winds.
• Highly confident in snow amounts and location, with northern MN taking the brunt.

Snowfall Amounts
• 2 to 3" of snow is possible in far western MN, with generally up to 1-2" in eastern MN, and less than an inch in western WI. See the attached forecast map.

Watches/Warning/Advisories:
• Winter Storm Warning far western MN, Winter Weather Advisory for central MN, and a Wind Advisory for eastern MN and western WI.

visibilities, and use caution while driving. The latest road

Wisconsin at 511wi.gov, or by calling 5 1 1 in either state.

A strong low pressure system is still on track to impact the Upper Midwest tomorrow into Tuesday. Western MN through northern MN is expected to take the brunt of the snow with this storm. Monday will start off mild, with some areas seeing temperatures exceed 50 degrees before a strong cold front brings a rapid change to the weather Monday afternoon through the evening.

Very strong northwest winds behind the front will lead to crashing temperatures and rain changing to snow.

Hazards & Impacts:
• Falling snow with very strong winds could lead to difficult travel conditions for a period of time Monday night, especially across western MN.
• A Winter Storm Watch has been issued for a portion of western MN to highlight the potential for Blizzard conditions Monday afternoon and night.
• 2 to 4" of snow is possible in far western MN, with lesser amounts to the east. See the attached forecast map.
Location - Confidence Medium
• We are highly confident in the wind and temperature forecast.
• Medium confidence in the snow amount forecast.
Snowfall Amounts
• We are expecting 2-4" in far western MN with lesser amounts to the east. There is potential for upwards of 6" in western MN if the track were to prefer a more easterly solution.
Watches/Warning/Advisories:
• Winter Storm Watch for Blizzard potential across western MN.
