Clearwater County Minnesota Public Records

Clearwater County is located in the state of Minnesota; the county was formed in December 20, 1902 and named after Clearwater Lake and Clearwater River. Bagley is the largest city in the county and also the county seat. According to the U.S. Census Bureau, the county has a population of approximately 8,695 and a total area of 1,030 square miles (2,700 km2), of which 31 square miles (80 km2) (3.0%) is water and 999 square miles (2,590 km2) is land. Cities in the county include; Gonvick, Shevlin, Clearbrook, Bagley (county seat) and Leonard.

Clearwater County borders the following counties: Beltrami County to the northeast, Hubbard County to the southeast, Becker County to the south, Mahnomen County to the southwest, Polk County to the northwest and Pennington County to the northwest. Major highways in the county include U.S. Highway 2, Minnesota State Highway 1, Minnesota State Highway 92, Minnesota State Highway 113, Minnesota State Highway 200 and Minnesota State Highway 223.
